THE LAST OUTPOST NEEDS YOU!
We are seeking enthusiastic members who are interested in getting involved in planning online (for the time being) events, classes, and gatherings and look forward to the time when we can hold these events in-person as well as online. As we emerge from the pandemic, we will need volunteers to assist our Events/Conventions Team in planning club events and organizing panels for the conventions. Our Social Media/Website Team is also seeking volunteers to assist us in keeping up our website and our presence on social media. Please email us at TheLastOutpost808@gmail.com with your ideas.
* The original club, under the name, “The Last Outpost: [A] Star Trek Club of Hawaii” existed as far back as 1988 and takes its name from “The Last Outpost” (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 1, Episode 5, aired 19 October 1987). The club continued until about 1998, around the time that Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was about to finish its run. On 15 March 2012, The Last Outpost Hawai‘i was revived when we held a gathering at the On On Chinese Restaurant 安安中餐 [Ān’ān Zhōngcān] in its former location at 1110 McCully Street.
